Website design prices and what each package includes

Our website design prices for South African businesses start at R14,500, once-off. What you'd pay depends on how many pages the site needs, who writes them, whether customers pay on it and what it has to connect to, such as a booking system or a CRM. Each package below lists what's in it and what isn't, so you can work out the website cost before we speak.

All three come with call, form and WhatsApp tracking from launch, and the online store tracks sales as well. Every build includes the monthly enquiry report for the first three months after launch. The report shows enquiries by source, the cost of each one where you paid for the click, and what we'd change next month.

Three packages

Prices are once-off for the build. The six-page site and the online store are starting prices, and the written quote you get before any work starts gives the exact figure. If your site sits between two packages, we'll quote it the same way.

Six-page site

From R14,500 once-off

For a business with one or two main services that needs a fast site people can call, message or enquire from.

15-page service site

For a business with three or more services or service areas that wants a page for each one, written by us.

What's included

  • Up to 15 pages, with a page for each service and each area you serve
  • Everything in the six-page site
  • Copy for every page written by us, from a one-hour interview on a video call
  • A news or advice section you can post to yourself
  • A quote form that asks different questions per service

Online store

From R45,000 once-off

For a business that wants to sell its products online and take payment at checkout.

What's included

  • Everything in the 15-page service site
  • Product and category pages, built from the product list and photos you supply
  • Filters on category pages, and a short written introduction on each one
  • A cart and checkout connected to a payment gateway account in your name, for card and EFT payments
  • Delivery costs and times shown on product pages and before checkout
  • Pages for your delivery, returns and refund policies, which section 43 of the ECT Act says a store must make available
  • Product markup, so price and stock can show in Google results
  • Purchase tracking in Google Analytics 4 from launch

  • Product descriptions and product photos
  • Legal wording for your terms and policies
  • Hosting, the domain and payment gateway fees, billed to you directly
  • Stock synced with a till or accounting system
  • Google Merchant Center feeds, ads and ongoing SEO

Payment, terms and what no package covers

VAT

We're not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added to our prices. Package prices are once-off and cover the build only.

How a build is paid

A build is paid in two parts: half to book the start date and half at launch.

A fixed quote

You get a fixed price in writing before work starts, and it only changes if the page list does.

Hosting

Hosting isn't in the build price. We set it up with a host in your name, and the host bills you directly.

Who owns the site

The domain, the site and the logins are in your name. We never hold back your domain, site or logins, even over an unpaid invoice.

After launch

For 30 days after launch we fix anything that isn't working, at no charge. After that, changes are quoted per job.

Monthly work

If you add SEO or social media after launch, that's billed monthly on its own terms. Contracts run for three months minimum, then month to month.

What no package includes

Photography, paid stock images, ad spend, payment gateway and courier fees, and the subscription fees of any booking, CRM or email tool the site connects to. Each of those is billed to you by the supplier.

Questions about website prices

It depends mostly on how many pages the site has, who writes the words and whether customers pay on it. Six pages built from wording you already have cost far less than 15 pages written from scratch, and a store with a checkout costs more again. Ours start at R14,500, a 15-page site written by us is R27,500, and an online store starts at R45,000.

Count the services and areas you want enquiries for, because each one gets its own page, then add home, about and contact. Six pages or fewer, using wording you already have, is the six-page site. Up to 15, written by us, is the service site. If customers will pay on the site, it's the online store. Anything the site has to connect to, such as a booking system or a CRM, can take it past its package price, and the online store's price rises with the number of products we load and the payment and delivery options it needs. The audit says which package fits, or we quote the site if none does.

In month 1 we hold the kick-off video call, count last month's enquiries and agree the page plan with you. Month 2 is design and build. We plan for six to ten weeks from the kick-off call to launch, depending on the number of pages and how quickly we get your content. The redirects go in at launch, and the first report comes at the end of month 3, measured against that count.

Hosting and the yearly domain renewal, billed to you by the host and the registrar, because both are in your name. Some booking and CRM tools charge their own monthly fee, and a store pays its payment gateway's fees. Ongoing SEO is optional, from R7,500 a month.

Yes. New pages are built on the templates made for the first ones, so a new service or area page is a small job, and we quote it before we start.
